Who We Are
More than two dozen diverse organizations that comprise the Defense Health Research Consortium (DHRC) are calling on the House and Senate Appropriations Committees to continue support for several dozen medical research programs at the Department of Defense. These programs, funded annually in the Defense Appropriations Act, are referred to as the “Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs” (CDMRPs).
The Defense Health Research Consortium includes national patient advocacy organizations that represent patients suffering from prevalent conditions such as prostate cancer, to rare disorders like tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC). The Consortium also includes medical provider organizations, professional medical societies, and veterans advocacy groups. Those represented by these groups have benefited significantly from the cutting-edge medical research funded by the defense health research programs.
CRD Associates is proud to have helped organize and coordinate the consortium. The impressive grassroots advocacy led by the members of the consortium in conjunction with other organizations presents a powerful unified front in support of vital medical research programs!
